The ASSISTEENS auxillary was formed in 1993 and was certified by NATIONAL ASSISTANCE LEAGUE in 1995. It is comprised of over one hundred teens attending the seventh through twelfth grades in our area’s intermediate and high schools who are learning how to give back to their community through service. The members improve their public speaking and leadership skills while providing hours of philanthropic service. Some of their programs include Adopt-a-Family, Senior Outreach, Susan G. Komen Breast Walk, and helping at the Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen. In addition to reaching out to their community, Assisteens develop lasting friendships.
